The first snow of this winter,ice covered trees are beautiful. U think of all the sparkling things the expensive blings of this world, even the beauty of all the creation only beautiful in the light. How foolish are we to fixate on the things that reflect the light instead of light itself.
God is light, in His light we see light.
With general revelation the general creation is to reflect His glory and light. With special revelation His elect is to become light source themselves, because we shall have a piece of his light, the HS in us.

When we r close to God, night became time of sweet communion, time of revelation for His light canopy the night
When we run away from Him, night is time of darkness and terror, where temptation roams

God alone is righteous = God is always right. Thus We pursue a living righteousness - it requires living out, but more so it is alive, it is a living person, God himself. Much of the Christian difficulty and confusion resides in the varieties of situations, God is infinite and He created I fine the different people and changing world. what is righteous in this situation? Therefore out righteous is not just imputed from Christ, but also "having the mind of Christ", having the living righteousness of righteous Himself, thus we know how to be righteous in any situation, not by rules and letter, but by Spirit knowing the heart of God. This is such freedom. Understand this and pursue Him alone will strengthen us to not be restrained by men's doctrine or men's judgement.

"Friend" as many other word such as "love", "gentleman"...are watered down and changed meaning. In West or East classic or traditional sense, a friend is someone who is a soul companion, a noble person, who is intimate, able to edify or chastise, like David and Jonason. These changes subtly steal some of God's best design and intention from us. In modern Hebrew a common word "haveir' translated into friend actually means "Comrade" , a associate for a common purpose, or 'rea' - someone who sees often, 熟识。But another Hebrew word is actually for friend is 'yavid' means beloved, a soul mate, male or female. God calls Abraham yavid.

Most of God's titles already existed in cannon before Israel entered, even El Elon was a title canonite call their idols god. These titles all describe some aspect of God's character thus our God although a jealous God did not forbid them to use the same title on Himself. As for name, the cannon God is Baal, our God is Jehovah, who was, is and will be. However there is one title God clearly rejected. It was rejected in prophecy, because the people did not know Him truly they in ignorance used that title, God was not happy but He is merciful thus prophesied and waited for that day of change.

This title describe the relationship between God and us, this one is drastically different between Baal and Yehovah. notice God never wanted slaves, He always wanted a beloved! Many could not comprehend if you do live in that understanding today!

Predestination and election vs free will
Free will- ( reference the animation from wiki) man 's response changes the condition which then caused the collapsed state, the 'final' state.
However, God is still able to excite the dormant electron.
Predestination - God spoke the creation into existence. That's the quantum superposition state. About the particular state after collapse, it may or may not be predetermined. Anyone observe the unfolding became an influencer of the outcomes.
Therefore u find in the Bible and in reality both filled with changes, seemingly God is not in Control.
However, the possibilities of collapsed states are still limited, designed and foreknown by God. He made individual men just like the quantum particle, capable to be exited or remain dormant. Yet He made Church as one whole body whoes state is solid. He is in control afterall.
